Terms from Experience Point that relate more to game nights than the server at large.
“always vote blod”: One of the quintessential Game Night in-jokes, which revolves around blaming Bolderousness (typically shortened to “Bold” but misspelled for this joke) whenever anything goes wrong. The incorrect spelling of “bold” comes from the description of the #game-night channel and the joke itself originated from Among Us nights among the users of EXP, where people would vote Bold whenever they had any doubt on who to actually vote for.
[insert Jackbox game here] Meter: A Jackbox Game Night joke relating to games that the hosts generally want to avoid for one reason or another (be it the inability to really make it work online, etc.). This led to some users starting to campaign the possibility of actually playing those games anyway, referred to as “filling the meter” and once that imaginary meter is full, we have to play it…. maybe. Has successfully worked with Push the Button, Fakin’ It and Zeeple Dome thus far.IP Address: If we’re playing Talking Points on Jackbox Game Night and Unikorn is among the players, expect one of the presentations to have an IP address as a comment.
Mammals: An iconic Game Night moment. During a game of Codenames, Bold played as the Spymaster and gave his team the clue “MAMMALS 2”, leading to all players to guess every single card that had human professions on them, of which there were more than two. Chaos quickly ensued as people started to ask if various things were mammals, mostly ironically as many of the things questioned were clearly not mammals. The sheer ridiculousness of the moment has caused the very concept of mammals to become an inside joke within Game Night. If you ever wonder why Unikorn’s Jackbox name is “Dummimammal”, it’s a direct callback to that.
“The storm’s coming for you!”: Whenever someone’s fan picks up on their mic during voice chat sessions and causes noticeably windy sounds to get through, it’s possible someone might say a variation of that sentence. Originated as a Game Night running gag as it happened nearly every single time to Bolderousness before he got himself a new, better mic. May also be heard in Spy Squids voice chat sessions. There is no relation between this joke and the storm that took Farmer Ted’s crops… or at least none that we know of.
Sweat: A word used to refer to people who are either tryhard or really good at something. While that’s an easy enough term to understand without being part of this bible, its prominence within Game Night and how certain people are “sweats” in certain games is still notable enough due to this word creating various bits in that channel, such as Bold the Bomberman sweat, Unikorn the Mario Kart sweat or ahem the Jackbox sweat.
